The listing page
Your listing page is a normal Shopify page with the app’s Press Releases block added to it. That structure is deliberate: it means the press room is part of your theme, not a walled-off area the app controls.
If you haven’t set it up yet, see Set up your press page.
What the block renders
Section titled “What the block renders”- A heading and subheading you set.
- A card per release — featured image, category, date, title, description, and an optional “Read more” link.
- A featured badge on any release marked as such.
- Optionally a search box in the heading row, with a category filter and a sort order control in a popup behind the filter button beside it.
- More releases a batch at a time — either a Show more button or automatically as the visitor scrolls, whichever you choose.
Order is by published date, most recent first. A visitor can flip it to oldest first with the sort control, and you can make oldest first the order the page arrives in.
It is a block, so you can build around it
Section titled “It is a block, so you can build around it”Because it is a standard app block, you can add other theme sections above and below it in the theme editor — a banner, a contact form, a newsletter signup. They render exactly as they would on any other page.
You can also move the block within the page, and remove it without uninstalling the app.
Search and filtering
Section titled “Search and filtering”Both run in the browser, across the releases already loaded onto the page. A visitor who has loaded the first six releases is searching those six.
For a press room with a handful of releases this is invisible and instant. If you have a long archive and expect people to search it, raise Items per load so more is loaded up front.
Sorting is different: it reorders every release on the page, loaded or not, so the first batch after a flip to oldest first is genuinely your oldest releases.
Using a different page
Section titled “Using a different page”Any page handle works — /pages/news, /pages/newsroom. Add the block to that page instead, and set the same URL as the Listing page URL in the app’s Settings so detail-page back-links match.
Multiple listing pages
Section titled “Multiple listing pages”You can add the block to more than one page. They all show the same releases; there is no per-page filtering. Two pages showing an identical list is rarely useful, but nothing stops it.
Block settings reference covers every setting in detail.
